Government of Jammu and Kashmir General Administration Department (Vigilance) Released Notification Regarding Annual Property Returns on PRS Portal: Extension of timelines.
According to notifications that all employees working under the Government of Jammu and Kashmir were advised to file their property returns for the year 2023, w.e.f. 1st January, 2024 to 31st January, 2024 on the PRS Portal, accessible on https://prs.jk.gov.in. The timelines were extended vide Notification dated 12th February, 2024 and 3rd March, 2024.
It has been observed that in view of financial closing and other preoccupations, many employees have not been able to submit their property returns within the extended timeline and have thus defaulted. Since failure/non- submission of property returns by Government employees invites action under the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Men and Public Servants Declaration of Assets Act and Rules made there-under, the matter was re-considered in the General Administration Department and it has been decided that a last and final opportunity shall be granted to these defaulting employees.
Accordingly, submission of property returns by the defaulting employees shall be allowed through online mode on the Property Return System (PRS Portal) for a period of 07 days from the date of issuance of this Notification. All employees who have registered themselves on the Portal but not submitted their property returns shall submit the same; besides, unregistered employees shall get themselves registered on the portal and submit their property returns during the stipulated period.
In case employees face issues related to OTP, they shall update their current mobile numbers and email IDs on CPIS portal. Drawing & Disbursing Officers (DDOs) shall ensure necessary facilitation in this regard. In case of any other issue/technical support, employees shall forward their concerns on support-prs@jk.gov.in for speedy redressal.
