SSC CHSL Recruitment 2020: Application Deadline Extended

NEW DELHI: Staff Selection Commission on Saturday extended the last date for receipt of online applications for Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2020 by a week. Candidates can now fill up the online application form through the Commission's website up to — ssc.nic.in — December 26, 2020.

Candidates should note that the Commission has categorically stated that no further extension of the last date will be granted.


Candidates, who are interested and waiting for CGL exam 2020, should note that the notice of Combined Graduate Level Examination-2020, which was scheduled to be published on December 21, 2020, will now be published on December 29, 2020.

Earlier, the deadline to apply for SSC CHSL 2020 was December 15 which was extended to December 19, 2020.


The Commission will hold Computer Based Examination (Tier-I) examination for recruitment to the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India from April 12 to 27, 2021.


Candidates, in their own interest, are advised to apply online at the earliest possible to avoid last minute rush as during the closing hours the website may become unresponsive.

Earlier, the SSC had released the tantative SSC CHSL (10+2) vacancies. According to the notice, there are around 4726 vacancies are to be filled through the recruitment process.

SSC CHSL Exam 2021: Age Limit (as on January 1, 2021)


Age limit for the posts is 18-27 years i.e., candidates born not before 02-01-1994 and not later than 01-01-2003.


Relaxation in upper age limit for different categories are as under:

For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): The candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

Fee payable:

 Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only). Fees can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.


Exemption:

 Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
