JAMMU, Jan 27: All the Universities, Colleges and Polytechnics in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will re-open for formal class work from February 1.
A decision in this regard was taken in a high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam, official sources told EXCELSIOR, adding “formal order in this regard will be issued tomorrow”.
When contacted, Commissioner/Secretary Higher Education Department Talat Parvez Rohella confirmed that all the Universities, Colleges and Polytechnics will begin face to face class-work from February 1, 2021 with strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for COVID-19 precaution.
The SOPs will be clearly defined in the formal order to be issued tomorrow.
