Mr. Azhar Ul Amin, Sr. Advocate along with Mr. Mudaseen Masood,learned counsel for the applicants, and Mr. Bikram Deep Singh, learned counsel for the respondents are present.
Learned counsel for the applicants states that vide advertisement notice dated 16.12.2020 vacancies had been advertised to be filled by open market selection. The written tests were held during the month of January 2022 and the result of the written test had been issued on 19.03.2022. He further states that just a few days before the written test was to be held, the respondents issued a notification on 19.01.2022 stating that normalization process will be followed while deciding the merit position. His main contention is that normalisation procedure was not required to be followed by the Service Selection Board since the number of candidates was just afew thousand and there was no need to hold the examination on multiple days. He further states that since that order dated 19.01.2022 was issued just a few days before the written examination.
