Paper leak scams got unbridled!
There is an old saying that nip the evil in the bud but here it is contrary and no one is questioning the companies.
Jammu, Feb 22: The paper leaking issue has become a routine matter in every exam let it be recruitment exam or other exam and not stopping at any level, which is matter of concern and government must do concrete to arrest it otherwise the future of country would be in danger.
The Ladakh police has arrested a person (Dibakar) in Ladakh, who was working with Aptech. He was caught red handed for facilitating cheating in ongoing KV PGT exam. He was using some system mirroring application. He was running this job scam since long. He was in collaboration with a centre owner from Haryana, whereas, Haryana was in news since JKP SI and FAA exam scam in JKSSB. In preliminary inquiry it has been found that not only agent and owner but some High profile private personalities and official are involved.
Leak after leak from Arunachal to Gujrat, Tamil Nadu to Ladakh, whereas no state remained untouched from the virus of paper-leak but the intriguing part of the story is that no one is taking steps to solve this issue. Paper leaks and irregularities in exam for recruitment process of government jobs have become routine affairs and it happens because of loopholes present in the exam conducting companies and also due to incompetency of its staff. At the same time, it is failure of government machinery, which is time and again failing to safeguard fundamental rights of citizens as it could not stop the paper leaking trend.
Recently three major exams are conducted at all India level by three different Organizations C-TET by Central Board of school education (CBSE); Teacher exam by (NVS) Navoday Vidyalay Samiti; amd (KVS) Kendriya Vidyalay Sanghathan Teacher exam TGT and PGT. All these exams are being conducted at all India level for recruiting of teachers for various Schools run by Central Government. This year, these exams are being conducted from month of January and February but unfortunately like past years this year too leaning of question papers was reported and several arrests have been made by police teams in the respective states.
C-TET was leaked and as per reports ANYdesk was used in Bihar. ANYdesk is a system mirroring software which enables to access and control any computer remotely. Similar instance were reported in Meerut and Luckhnow, where STF arrested a coaching Centre owner and other members of paper leak gang. UP STF team questioned and arrested a person who had confessed that he got question paper on 13 Jan too. This clearly means that company who is conducting and government who has responsibility to conduct exams in fair manner have failed. The company which was awarded contract to conduct the examination was one of reputed firm namely M/s Aptech Pvt Ltd a Mumbai based company. Although its name remained in news in 2018-19 for famous UPPCL paper leak scam where its involvement was found and then firm was blacklisted. Later on same firm was fined for ?1000000 by Delhi High Court. This very same company was entrusted by different states and hired to conduct recruitment exams, like Assam, Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Union Government and as result they got leak and scams. Most of the recruitments were cancelled in the backdrop of paper leak. The matter of grave concern is that how such a company being awarded with contract to conduct recruitment exams.
Talking about KV TGT and PGT both the papers were leaked. Though authorities were informed on 15th February before exam that system mirroring software are being used in KV PGT to help few candidates after taking a handsome amount form them but authorities had not paid any heed to this and resulted in KV TGT paper leaked. Police seized 17 laptops, mobile and other material from gangsters. Unfortunately no action was taken on company which failed to maintain secrecy and transparency of exam. As company Aptech maintained its record of failure to conduct exam in transparent manner. In next exam that KV PGT again same company and 11 persons were arrested at Ambala who were helping many candidates for clearing exam in return of 15-20 lac from each candidate. There too solvers were using System mirroring application to take computer on remote mode. Quite humorous that same company same software and same tactics to cheat but Admin is on sleep mode to curb cheating in exam.
It is pertinent to mention that this is the same company which was hired by JKSSB to conduct exams, which was challenged by some aspirants. There too this company was failed to maintain secrecy of exam and answer key of JKP SI was leaked. However JKSSB and administration have not paid any attention to those complaints. Court had ordered a judicial inquiry over the conduct of JKSSB but somehow it was saved for time being.
