Today, rain showers can occur in many areas of Kashmir region, especially in parts of south Kashmir, Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar districts.
In specific areas of central and north Kashmir and some parts of the Jammu region, there could be prolonged intervals between rain showers today (i.e., dry weather/no rainfall for several hours)
The continuous downpour in south Kashmir may result in the escalation of water levels in streams and the Jhelum river.
Today, it is better to stay away from Vishnow Nallah in Kulgam district as it is expected to encounter a major rise in the water level.
