Moon NOT Sighted, Islamic New Year to Start from Wednesday Evening, Check Details Inside-KSP

Srinagar, Jul 18 (GNS): The crescent for Islamic New Year was not sighted anywhere in Jammu and as such the new year (1445 A.H) will begin from Wednesday evening, Grand Mufti J&K, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam said on Tuesday evening.
Islam told GNS that no testimony was received from anywhere in Jammu and Kashmir. “The Islamic new year 1445 A.H will now begin on Wednesday evening July 19 with Thursday marking the first day of the new year”, he said.
“I ask Ummah to observe the forthcoming Ashura with utmost austerity and also pray for the brothers across the globe”, Islam said. (GNS)
